Philodendron

78 cultivars

Philodendron is one of the most beloved and diverse groups of tropical aroids, prized for its dramatic foliage, wide range of leaf shapes, and adaptable growth habits. Depending on the species or selection, these plants may feature heart-shaped, deeply lobed, narrow, broad, glossy, velvety, or highly sculptural leaves in shades of green, bronze, red, burgundy, cream, or striking variegated combinations. Within the genus, growth habits range from climbing or trailing vines that benefit from a moss pole or trellis, to large, self-heading or clumping specimens that produce substantial architectural foliage, and even terrestrial creepers that crawl horizontally across the soil. This tremendous diversity makes them exceptionally versatile for interior plant collections, conservatories, shaded patios, tropical landscapes, living walls, and collector displays where foliage form, texture, and vibrant color are the primary attractions.
