Nerium, commonly known as Oleander, is a genus of evergreen shrubs and small trees celebrated for their exceptional heat tolerance, drought resistance, and prolific flowering. These tough, versatile plants feature narrow, leathery, lance-shaped leaves and produce vibrant clusters of trumpet-shaped flowers—often in shades of pink, red, white, or cream—from late spring through late summer. Thriving in warm, sunny climates (USDA Zones 8-11), Oleanders are widely utilized in Mediterranean-style and subtropical landscapes as structural hedges, privacy screens, or colorful specimen plantings.
