Epipremnum is a tropical climbing aroid genus best known for the wildly popular houseplants commonly sold as Pothos. Valued for their vigorous growth, resilient nature, and exceptional versatility, these plants are staples indoors and in warm, protected landscapes. Depending on the selection, Epipremnum develops attractive, heart-shaped leaves in shades of deep green, brilliant chartreuse, or striking variegated combinations of cream, white, and golden-yellow. While most commonly enjoyed as trailing vines in hanging baskets or cascading from shelves, mature specimens given a climbing support can produce dramatically larger foliage. Epipremnum is especially well suited to living walls, indoor plant displays, shaded patios, and tropical gardens where its trailing and climbing habit creates a lush atmosphere with relatively little maintenance.
