Burbidgea is a genus of rare tropical gingers in the Zingiberaceae family, prized by collectors and tropical plant enthusiasts for their lush, architectural foliage and vibrant flower clusters. Native to the humid rainforests of Southeast Asia, these clumping perennials typically feature upright stems adorned with elliptical green leaves and are best known for producing stunning terminal spikes of bright golden-orange, brush-like blooms during active growth periods. In cultivation, Burbidgea plants are exceptional additions to warm-climate shade gardens and tropical understory landscapes.
